"Watching the Harbinger"
Zhuchengtyrannus magnus, generic azhdarchid pterosaur. A digital painting that started off as an in-class sketch in Corel Painter, which I took further for class. The erupting volcano was a suggestion made by my lecturer, and sure, it was a cliche but it worked really well.
Done using Corel Painter 2015 and Photoshop CS6.
Completed on the 9th of May 2015.

Vision Originality Technique ImpactI gave you high ratings on this one--texturally, this is a thing of beauty. I like the silhouette of the pteryldactyl.
I think you fall short on the background--looks hurried --I have a sketch posted like this which I could kick myself for.
But your main character excels and is a joy to experience texturally--its worth the view. Nice work.
Again, don't let photoshop or whatever editing tool you are using get the best of you and don't be in such a hurry. The painting is not only our view of your narrow vision, a sliver in your mind's eye of your artful imagination, it's your very signature--a personal hand to pen to view eye about yourself.
