"Dire wolf study"
Canis dirus. A digital painting of a dire wolf, an extinct species of canid from ancient North America.
A slightly larger and more robustly built version of its smaller relative, the gray wolf (canis lupus), which still exists today.
Completed on the 25th of July 2012.
Updated on the 26th of July 2012.
