Description
"A Break in the Forest"
Troodon formosus. An airbrush painting of a cute little troodon scurrying through the woods in Alaska during the winter.
It's my own little fictional Alaskan sub-species of troodon. She's sporting a winter coat, lacking any arm or tail feathers that she'd usually have during the rest of the year. Got the idea for her winter coat from the northern coyote (canis latrans incolatus).
Had a heck of a time recently while painting this little girl, handling the loads of assignments from university and realizing that I'm actually dyslexic. Not much of a surprise since I suspected this for the past four years. I didn't bother to really read up on it until my acting lecturer brought it up when I was telling her I had some trouble memorizing a Macbeth speech she had given us. Just gotta go see a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist to confirm it.
Imagine that, I'm 22 and only now do I find out that I have dyslexia. Its a mild form but enough to give me a hard time with my studies

this painting present a very good contrast between lights and darkness in the backgrond,
also, the environment has a very unique essence that makes that the main charachter in the painting(troodon) look kind of mystichal.
the only thing that i didnt liked a lot about it is that the creature has an anatomycal mistake(the tail of the troodon was completely streight, and it had very little movement, the position of the tail in the picture cuold say two things:
1:the troodon was born with an anatomycal mutation
or
2:the bones of the tail are broken)
BUT the rest of the picture is really good
